you can make glow sticks work without a battery by mixing certain chemicals that will make a chemical reaction and then it will start to glow but it depends on which types of chemicals you use to make a certain type of color. So if you mix the two chemicals together to make them glow you can’t make them turn the color you want by hoping it will happen. No matter how many times you mix the same chemicals to make them glow the color will never change. so you have to mix the right chemicals to make a glowing liquid and the color you want.

Glow sticks work without a battery because inside a glow stick there are two chemicals. When you crack glow sticks the two chemicals mix which causes a chemical reaction and cause the glow stick to glow. The chemicals inside a glow stick are energy in the form of light.

~ The reason the glow-stick makes a cracking sound is because both of the chemicals have been put together and it makes the cracking sound.

I was shocked when I found out that glow sticks don’t have any electricity, I did know that glow stick are a liquid but I thought it did have electricity.
I wonder how they make the glowing liquid for the glow sticks? And HOW does it glow by itself?
I think that this liquid is not dangerous but if you drink it might poison you.

When you hear that CRACK noise, that is the sound of the two chemicals mixing together and forms “chemiluminescence” witch means it releases energy by a chemical reaction .

Glowsticks are made of a chemical reaction which make the liquid glow.
There are two liquids in a Glowstick which combines when you shack it. When the liquid combines it glows because of the chemical reaction.
When they are combined it is called chemiluminescence.

Many kids think that glow sticks work because a battery is making it glow . This is not true. Glow sticks work by two chemicals mixing together to make a reaction called chemiluminescence. If you look at the word you can see the word luminous (meaning glowing or bright) , and the word chem (being a short way to say chemical). There a two tubes inside the glow stick. Each of them have a different chemical that when released, they mix to make the glow stick glow. The snap that you hear when you crack a glow stick is the two tubes breaking, therefore releasing the chemical to make it glow.

Most children think that glow sticks are battery powered, (like what I thought) but their not. When we snap it, that is the sound of the 2 chemicals mixing, called a chemical reaction. This chemical reaction in this case is glowing. That’s why glow sticks are called glow sticks.

Glow sticks work without using any battery by having two different chemicals mixed together. These two different chemicals and like in tubes with the chemicals inside them. So when you go to crack them this is what brakes and makes your glow stick glow. This is why when sometimes you crack them multiple times they start to leak and the chemicals inside it goes everywhere.

I didn’t know entirely how glow sticks glow until now when I watched the video.
I was pretty shocked when they spilt the liquid and wiped the cloth with it and it was still glowing!

Glow sticks work with out a battery by two chemicals that mix together to make a bright glowing object that people can play with.
Glow stick are a tube that when you crack it turns into a chemical that is cool to touch with your hands.
Some glowing chemicals are very hot that glow but you can not touch so the glow stick I a good object that dose not use a very hot chemical that people cant touch, this is why people can hold it and play with it.

The way glow sticks work without a battery by mixing two chemicals together. This is done by having a tube inside of the main tube. Both tubes have a chemical in them and when you mix both chemicals in creates a glow. The crack you hear when you snap the glow stick is the small tube breaking and releasing the chemical it contains.

Lots of children think that Glow Sticks work by battery. I have always thought that, but from watching this video I now know that they are made of 2 chemicals. If you cut a Glow Stick carefully at the top, 2 parts will come out. One on the inside and the container on the outside.
They both have 1 chemical in them. This makes them Glow. I always thought that all Glow sticks are different. What do you think/

However the color that is shown is determined by what type of chemical you put in. This may result with bubbles, changing colours and heat within the tube of liquid. Although the liquid has no electricity, you can even spill it onto something causing it to glow. This is pure science and it is amazing how it works.
